Tiverton Flower Club

We’re a friendly bunch from all walks of life with a shared love of flowers. We host regular demonstrations and run occasional workshops and outings. Our demonstrators are NAFAS qualified and cover the whole range from modern to traditional arrangements and, as you would expect, make it look so easy! But there are always lots of tips and ideas to try out yourself, if you wish.

First Friday Jazz Club

We meet on the first Friday of every month, doors open 8.00pm, music starts 8.30 prompt.

Tiverton Town Band

We are a traditional Brass Band based in Mid Devon, all our players are amateurs, who enjoy performing to audiences at fetes, concerts and contests, where we play in the Fourth Section. We are members of the South West Brass Band Association.

Tiverton Film Club

Nothing quite matches seeing a good film, in good company, on a big screen. But many exciting and original films never get to be shown in our part of the world by the major distributors. However that doesn’t mean you have to miss them all. We have a monthly screening of some of the best films, both British and International, right in the heart of Tiverton and you can also enjoy a chat before the film in relaxed and friendly company.

Tiverton Ballroom Dancers' Club

Tiverton Ballroom Dancers' Club was first formed in 1992 by a group of ballroom dancers that met informally at the tea dances which were held at Tiverton Hotel.

Tiverton & District Poetry Reading Group

If you enjoy reading poetry aloud, or just listening to it being read, come along to the Tiverton and District Poetry Reading Group and share that pleasure with like-minded people.

East Devon Choral Society

East Devon Choral Society (EDCS) has been based in Tiverton since 1973, in recent years under the baton of our talented, enthusiastic conductor Andrew Daldorph. EDCS sings a broad repertoire covering many of the major choral works as well as exploring other musical influences such as gospel, opera and songs from the shows.

Mid Devon Natural History Society

The Mid Devon Natural History Society was formed by a group of enthusiasts in 1981 and holds regular meetings based in Tiverton. New members and visitors are always welcome at meetings for a nominal charge. There are also field trips throughout the year.

Tiverton Town Twinning Association

Tiverton Town Twinning Association was formed to promote friendship and understanding between Tiverton and its two twin towns of Hofheim, in Germany and Chinon in France. Both Hofheim and Chinon are twinned with each other, hence a triangular relationship. The association has a committee which organises affairs and official visits are organised in alternate years. Visitors stay in the home of twinners in the host country at no cost on a reciprocal basis. A programme of activities and entertainment is provided for the guests.

Tiverton Civic Society

The Tiverton Civic Society is now a Registered Charity (No 1043675) that cares for the beauty, history and character of Tiverton and its surroundings. We aim to protect and preserve the good things we all enjoy, and try to change or influence for the better developments which cause general concern.

Tiverton Volunteer Litter Pickers

Litter picking is easy and satisfying and it does not take long to make an impact. All ages can contribute to the aims of the Tiverton Volunteer Litter Pickers.

Affinity Support Group

Affinity is a support group who meet twice a month, we're here for parents, friends and carers who care for a child (or children) who have had a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder or on their pathway to getting a diagnosis. We are under the umbrella and with full support of ‘Unite Carers’ and we offer non-judgemental support and advice.

Tiverton West End Bowling Club

Formed in 1911 Tiverton West End Bowling Club is dedicated to playing flat-green lawn bowls. You will find us in a scenic and secluded corner of Westexe Recreation Ground in Tiverton in the beautiful Exe Valley in the very heart of Devon, yet within easy access of junction 27 of the M5, the north Devon link road and both coasts: Just off Wellbrook Street next to the Fire Station.

Tiverton Borough Bowls Club

Tiverton Borough Bowls Club is situated in a beautiful position above the town, with views across the valley. We are adjacent to the popular tourist attraction of the Tiverton canal, where there is good access for cars and coaches to the canal side car park or there is roadside parking in The Avenue. Founded in 1932, Tiverton Borough has a long and rich history of bowls within Devon. We pride ourselves on the relaxed atmosphere at the club and anyone will receive a warm welcome to join the club. Within Devon, we are centrally located, being a perfect location as a base for touring teams and we are happy to help facilitate any visit to the area.

Tiverton Garden Club

Based in Mid Devon, England, the Club was established in 1953 to encourage members and all interested in the cultivation of flowers, shrubs, pot plants and decorative floral arrangements. The annual Subscription is currently £5 per person

Tiverton Radio Controlled Car Club

Tiverton Radio Controlled Car Club race at 2 different venues at Burlescombe and Heazle and they cater for various types of racing.

Tiverton Astronomy Society

The Tiverton Astronomy Society was founded in 1985. They are a group of friendly people who meet around once a month for lectures and talks.

Tiverton and Heathcoat Photographic Club

Tiverton & Heathcoat Photographic Club was formed over 50 years ago. The Club meets every Monday evening at 7:30pm in the upstairs Club Room at Heathcoat Social Club, Wellbrook Street, Tiverton from the beginning of September through to the end of April.

Tiverton Diving Club is an active branch of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC), which is the world's largest diving club.

Rugbytots Exeter

Rugbytots is the first of its kind; a specifically designed play programme for 2-7 year old boys and girls using the multiple skills of Rugby to create a fun and enjoyable environment whilst developing basic core motor skills.

Tiverton Harriers Athletic Club (Juniors)

Tiverton Harriers is one of the oldest running and athletic clubs in the area. We are here to help you improve your fitness mainly though running. The Junior part of the club also looks at some field events but mainly focuses on running.

Exe Valley Gymnastic School

Exe Valley is a British Gymnastics registered recreational gymnastic club based in Tiverton at Tiverton High School. We are a community club and our aim is to make gymnastics enjoyable and fun within a structured coaching framework offering beginner to advanced level gymnastics using the British Gymnastic proficiency and advanced proficiency schemes.

Tiverton Sea Cadets

Boating on the Grand Western Canal or River Exe, Adventure Training in the Brecon Beacons or Shropshire, and away trips all over south-western England is what Sea Cadets expect to do as part of their basic activities.

Tiverton Swimming Club (Learn to Swim)

Tiverton Town Football Club play in the Southern Football League. They play in yellow and as such are known as the 'The Yellows' or alternatively as 'Tivvy' which is a shortened version of the town name of Tiverton.

Tiverton Shotokan Karate Club

Tiverton Shotokan Karate was establised in 1975 and teaches traditional Japanese Martial Arts of self defence.

Tiverton Golf Club was established in 1932 thanks to the generosity of Sir John Amory, who donated the land for the benefit of the people of Tiverton.

Yoga for EveryBody with Tara

Yoga classes open to all in the Tiverton area. Suitable for everyone from seasoned yoga practitioners to total beginners. I have 25 years experience teaching yoga and am a teacher training tutor for the British Wheel of Yoga. Classes provide gentle but thorough exercise that improves mobility, balance, strength and mood. This work can be adapted to all kinds of abilities.

Tiverton Weightlifting Club

We specialise in lifting weights using machines minimally, its all about you and the barbell. We have affiliations with I.A.W.A (International All Round Weightlifting Association), G.B.P.F (Great Britain Powerlifting Federation) and B.D.F.P.A (British Drug Free Powerlifting Association). We regularly hold competitions with some of our members winning British and World titles as well as holding British and World records.

Tiverton Terriers Netball Club

Tiverton Terriers Netball Club meets and trains at Tiverton High School Sports Hall during the winter months on Wednesday nights 8-9pm. This changes to Moorhayes Community Centre during British Summer Time.

Tiverton Swimming Club (Squads)

Tiverton Swimming Club aims to promote the sport of swimming by providing a training program to help swimmers reach their full competitive potential according to their individual levels of ambition, ability and application. The club caters for swimmers of all ages and abilities with a progressive coaching program leading through our squad structure. Various levels of competition are catered for with training tailored to suit, from in-house galas and team league competitions, through to county, regional and, ultimately, national competition level.

We are a friendly, well managed club with good facilities, playing in the centre of Sampford Peverell. We enjoyed a successful 2018 season and are already looking forward to next summer.

Heathcoat Cricket Club

We are a cricket club which offers cricket to all ages and sexes at the top level in the County of Devon. We have two senior teams in the Premier and A division of the Devon League and one team in the North Devon League in division two. Our Ladies team are in D2 of the Devon League.
