Tiverton and Heathcoat Photographic Club |
Tiverton & Heathcoat Photographic Club was formed over 50 years ago. The Club meets every Monday evening at 7:30pm in the upstairs Club Room at Heathcoat Social Club, Wellbrook Street, Tiverton from the beginning of September through to the end of April.
Members pay an annual subscription fee is currently £37.50 for adults and £33 for senior citizens which includes membership of Heathcoat Social Club. This is pro-rata’d if you join part way through the year. There is a one off joining fee of £5 charged by Heathcoat Social Club as we hold our meetings on their premises. There is a small entrance fee on the night of £1 per session which includes coffee/tea and a raffle ticket.
Meetings take a variety of forms, with visiting speakers, regular competition nights, practical evenings and members sharing their own interests and skills. During the summer break, various outside activities are arranged. Its membership is a diverse group of individuals interested in taking and viewing photographs. With a broad range of members, we cater to all kinds of photography. We have members with interests in all styles and all abilities.
The club is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain through the Western Counties Photographic Federation.
Potential members are welcome to come along to any evening as a taster session for a small fee of £2, with a maximum of two sessions before taking up membership. Membership is open to all persons interested in photography aged 16 years and over.
Membership runs from February to January. The AGM is held in January.
